Control of advertisements regulations
223Restricting the display of advertisements where express consent is not ordinarily required
(1)
Control of advertisements regulations that require consent for the display of advertisements may provide that if conditions and limitations specified in the regulations are complied with—
(a)
consent is to be treated as having been given for the display of advertisements of a description specified in the regulations, or
(b)
advertisements of a description specified in the regulations may be displayed without consent.
(2)
Where the regulations make such provision, they may also—
(a)
enable the Welsh Ministers to direct that consent is required for the display of an advertisement despite the provision;
(b)
enable the Welsh Ministers or a planning authority to require the discontinuance of the display of an advertisement despite the provision.
