Further provisions about effect of enforcement notices
141Effect of grant of planning permission on enforcement notice
(1)
If—
(a)
an enforcement notice has been issued, and
(b)
planning permission is granted for development that was carried out before the grant of the permission,
the notice ceases to have effect (or does not take effect) so far as it is inconsistent with the permission.
(2)
The fact that an enforcement notice has wholly or partly ceased to have effect by virtue of this section does not affect the liability of any person for an offence in respect of a previous failure to comply with the notice.
