10General purpose etc.

The OEGW must exercise its functions—

(a)

for the general purpose of—

(i)

contributing to the‍ attainment of a high level of environmental protection and an improvement of the environment, and

(ii)

ensuring the effectiveness of environmental law and that it is complied with, implemented and applied;

(b)

impartially, objectively, proportionately and transparently.
