Information sharing
59Authority’s power to require relevant public authorities to give information
(1)
A relevant public authority must give the Authority such information as the Authority requests for the purpose of exercising functions conferred by or under this Act.
(2)
This section does not require or permit information to be given contrary to any prohibition imposed by an enactment or other rule of law.
(3)
If a relevant public authority decides not to comply with a request under subsection (1), it must give the Authority its written reasons for the decision.
