Historic environment records
196Guidance to certain public bodies about historic environment records
(1)
The Welsh Ministers must issue guidance to the bodies listed in subsection (2) on—
(a)
how the bodies may contribute to the compilation of historic environment records and assist in maintaining the records, and
(b)
the use of historic environment records in the exercise of the bodies’ functions.
(2)
The bodies are—
(a)
local authorities,
(b)
National Park authorities in Wales, and
(c)
Natural Resources Wales.
(3)
Those bodies must have regard to the guidance.
(4)
Before issuing guidance under this section, the Welsh Ministers must consult—
(a)
the bodies, and
(b)
any other persons they consider appropriate.
(5)
The Welsh Ministers must lay before Senedd Cymru any guidance issued under this section.
