SCHEDULE 2 Minor and consequential amendments relating to Part 1: elections

PART 1 Primary legislation

Local Government Act 2000 (c. 22)

9 (1) The 2000 Act is amended as follows.

(2) In section 85 (options for elections)—

(a) in subsection (1) after “Part” insert “as it applies in relation to a principal council for an area in England,”;

(b) in that subsection, before “a principal council” insert “such”;

(c) in the heading, after “elections” insert ”England”.

(3) In section 86 (power to specify a scheme for elections), omit subsection (1).
