Part 2 of Schedule 9 – Repeal of power to establish Joint Transport Authorities
443.Part 2 of Schedule 9 amends the Transport (Wales) Act 2006 so as to repeal the powers of the Welsh Ministers to establish joint transport authorities. The Welsh Ministers will instead be able to use the powers in section 72 (with the consent of principal councils) or 74 (without the consent of councils) to establish a corporate joint committee to exercise a function of a principal council relating to transport.
444.Paragraph 50 makes a consequential amendment to Schedule 11 to the Government of Wales Act 2006.
