1Abolition of county committees of agriculture.

The Minister of Agriculture may, by order made subject to affirmative resolution,—

a

abolish, as from such dateF1 as may be specified in the order, the county committees of agriculture established under section 2 of, and Schedule 1 to, the Agriculture Act (Northern Ireland) 1949 [1949 c.2] ;

b

transfer, to such persons as may be specified in the order, the functions exercisable immediately before that date by those committees under section 3 of that Act; and

c

make such other provisions as appear to him to be necessary or expedient in consequence of such abolition.

Subs.(2) repeals ss.2, 3 of, and sch.1 to, 1949 c.2 (NI); s.2(4) of 1959 c.2 (NI)
