(1)The Ministry of Education, with the approval of the Ministry of FinanceF1, may after the appointed day by regulations make provision for the payment, on such terms and subject to such conditions as may be specified in the regulations, of compensation to any member of the academic staff, or any other employee, of the College who—
(a)suffers loss or diminution of emoluments, or whose terms or conditions of service are adversely affected, by reason of his becoming employed by the University; or
(b)suffers loss of employment by reason of his not being employed by the University.
(2)Regulations made under this section may include provision as to—
(a)the manner in which, the time within which and the person to whom, any claim for compensation is to be made; and
(b)the determination of questions arising under the regulations.
(3)The Ministry of Education shall pay, out of moneys provided by Parliament, any compensation payable under this section.
(4)Regulations under this section shall be subject to affirmative resolution.
