N.I.General

33Regulations and orders.N.I.

(1)All regulations made under this Act, and any orders made under section 2(3), shall be subject to negative resolution.

(2)Before making any regulations under this Act the Ministry shall consult with such organisations as appear to the Ministry to be representative of interests affected by the regulations.

(3)Before making any regulations under this Act, in a case where the regulations relate to matters which may be dealt with by regulations made under the[F1 Food Safety (Northern Ireland) Order 1991], the Ministry shall consult with the Ministry of Health and Social Services.

35Interpretation.N.I.

(1)In this Act—

(a)regulated fresh produce within the meaning of Part I;

Nothing in this Act shall affect the operation of—

(a)the[F5 Plant Health Act (Northern Ireland) 1967]; or

[F6(b)theF5 Food Safety (Northern Ireland) Order 1991.]
