The Act has been repealed with the exception of sections 39 and 49(1) which are printed below (see 1981 NI 3 art. 163(2) sch. 13)

39Further provision as to payment of grants under s.6 of 1946 c.20.N.I.

F1 In section 6 of the Housing (No. 2) Act (Northern Ireland) 1946 (which provides for the payment of grants in respect of certain new houses), the reference to the owner in relation to any new house shall be construed as a reference to the person at whose expense the house has been provided.

F1To qualify for grant an application had to be submitted under the Act of 1946 on or before 31.3.1978 and the house completed by 31.3.1981 (see 1978 NI 2)
