Provision of sanitary conveniences, <Abbreviation Expansion="et cetera" xml:lang="la">etc.</Abbreviation>, at sports grounds, inns and other places of refreshment or entertainment.4The owner or occupier of any sports ground, or any inn, public-house, beer-house, eating-house, refreshment-house or place of public entertainment anywhere in Northern Ireland shall, if so required by notice in writing by the [ district council], provide and maintain thereon—ain the case of a sports ground, such sanitary conveniences;bin the case of any other such house or place as aforesaid, such urinals;as may be so required, and accordingly … residue, with Schedule, substitutes s.44 of 1907 c.53Variation of certain stallages, rents and tolls.51A [ district council] empowered by any enactment (whether public general or local)—ato establish and regulate markets; orbto provide and regulate slaughter-houses; andcto take stallages, rents or tolls in respect of the use of markets or slaughter-houses;may, notwithstanding anything in such enactment, from time to time—vary the amount of any such stallages or rents;vary the kinds, descriptions, quantities or numbers of commodities or animals in respect of which such tolls may be taken;with the approval of the Ministry fix the tolls to be taken in respect of such markets or slaughter-houses;and accordingly … residue, with Schedule, inserts s.105A in 1878 c.52Subs. (2) repeals in pt. proviso to s. 36 of 1847 c. 14Inclusion in slaughter-house tolls of charges for services.6It is hereby declared that a power conferred in whatsoever words by any enactment (whether public general or local) on any [ district council] to take tolls or make charges in respect of the use of a slaughter-house includes and always has included power to make charges in respect of any services provided by the [ council] at that slaughter-house, and accordingly … residue, with Schedule, inserts s.105B in 1878 c.52

Local Government ProvisionsPowers of district councils as respects war memorials.8The powers conferred on [ district councils] by section seven of the Act of 1923 with respect to war memorials shall be extended, and accordingly … residue, with Schedule, substitutes s.7(1)(2)(b) of 1923 c.31 (NI)
