8Penalties and legal proceedings.N.I.
(1)Any person guilty of an offence under this Act [F1(except section 7AA)] shall be liable, on summary conviction thereof,F2. . . to a fine not exceeding[F2 level 2 on the standard scale], or at the discretion of the court to imprisonment for any term not exceeding three months, or to both such fine and imprisonment.
