Section 54 of the Care Standards Act 2000 (c.14) is repealed.

The body corporate called the Care Council for Wales which was established by that section is to continue in existence.

But it is renamed, and is to be known as, Social Care Wales (referred to in this Act as “SCW”).

Schedule 2 makes further provision about SCW.
