Introduction
1.These Explanatory Notes are for the Local Government (Wales) Act 2015 passed by the National Assembly for Wales on 20 October 2015 and which received Royal Assent on 25 November 2015. They have been prepared by the Department for Education and Public Services of the Welsh Government to assist the reader.
2.The Explanatory Notes should be read in conjunction with the Act. They are not meant to be a comprehensive description of the Act. Where an individual section of the Act does not require any explanation or comment, none is given.
