Section 187 of the National Health Service (Wales) Act 2006 (independent advocacy services) is amended as follows.

In subsection (2)—
a
in paragraph (a) for “or independent provider” substitute “, independent provider or independent palliative care provider”,
b
in paragraph (c) omit the words “or the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales”, and
c
after paragraph (c) insert—
ca
a complaint to the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales which relates to a health service body or independent palliative care provider,

In subsection (3) insert in the appropriate place—
“independent palliative care provider” means a person who is an independent palliative care provider (within the meaning given by section 34T of the Public Services Ombudsman (Wales) Act 2005),
