PART 6DISQUALIFICATION AS MEMBER OF, OR EMPLOYEE OF, THE WAO

A person cannot be appointed as a member or employee of the WAO if the person is disqualified on any of the grounds specified in sub-paragraph (3).

A person ceases to be a member or employee of the WAO if the person is disqualified on any of the grounds specified in sub-paragraph (3).

A person is disqualified from being a member or employee of the WAO if the person is—
a
a Member of the National Assembly;
b
the holder of any other office or position to which a person may be appointed, or recommended or nominated for appointment, by or on behalf of—
i
the Crown,
ii
the National Assembly, or
iii
the National Assembly Commission;
c
a Member of the House of Commons or House of Lords;
d
a Member of the Scottish Parliament; or
e
a Member of the Northern Ireland Assembly.

Sub-paragraph (3)(b) is to be disregarded in the case of the Auditor General.
