XII.Powers and Penalties of 12 Car. II. c. 24. and all former Acts in force for levying the said Duties.

Except as enacted otherwise by this Act.

And be it further enacted by the Authority aforesaid That all and every the Powers Authorities Directions Rules Methods Penalties Forfeitures Clauses Matters and Things which in and by an Act of Parliament made in the Twelfth Yeare of King Charles the Second intituled An Act for taking away the Court of Wards and Liveries and Tenures in Capite and by Knights Service & Purveyance and for settling a Revenue on His Majestie in lieu thereof or by any other Law now in force relateing to His Majesties Revenue of Excise upon Beer Ale or other Liquors are provided settled or established for raising levying collecting recovering [X1adjudging or ascertaining the Duties thereby granted or any of them other then in such cases for which other Penalties or provisions are made & p[re]scribed by this Act shall be exercised practised applyed used levyed recovered & putt in Execution for the raiseing levying collecting recovering] & paying as well the said Duties X2 Malt as the said several Duties upon Mum Sweets Cyder and Perry hereby granted dureing the Continuance of this Act as fully and effectually to all Intents and Purposes as if all and every the said Powers Authorities Rules Directions Methods Penalties Forfeitures Clauses Matters and Things were particularly repeated & again enacted in the Body of this present Act.
