And be it enacted by the Authority aforesaid That all Persons selling Salt (except Forreigne Salt) made for Use shall from and after the Seventeenth day of May One thousand six hundred ninety and six sell the same after the Rate of Fifty six Pound Weight to the Bushel and not otherwise and so in proportion for a greater or lesser Quantity And that every Person offending therein shall for every such Offence forfeit the Su[m]m of Five Pounds to the Informer to be sued for and recovered in such manner as other Forfeitures by this Act are to be sued for and recovered.
