LV.

On charging Pots, &c. and before uncovering, &c. Maker to give Notice to Officer; Pots, &c. not to be uncovered, &c. but in the Presence of Officer and on Notice; Penalty.

And the better to prevent any Frauds or Concealments whereby His Majesty His Heires or Successors may be injured or deprived of His or their Dues according to the true meaning of this Act Be it further enacted That the several & respective Makers or Proprietors of the said Stone and Earthen Wares and Tobacco Pipes as often as they shall sett charge or fill any Pott Kiln Furnace Oven or other Place whatsoever for the baking burning or finishing any of the Wares mentioned to be taxed by this Act shall after the same is charged sett and filled & before they shall either uncover open draw break bulk or remove any of the said Stone or Earthen Wares or Tobacco Pipes from the said Potts Kilns Furnaces Ovens or Places of Burning of Nealing shall give due Notice to such Officer as aforesaid to be present att the uncovering opening breaking drawing removing or examining the said Potts Kilns Furnaces Ovens or Places of Burning or Nealing and shall not on any pretence whatsoever break draw uncover or open the said Pott Kilne Furnace Oven or Place of Burning so as to take out any of the said Goods or Wares therein but in the Presence of the said Officer or without giving due Notice to him that (without his wilfull Default) hee may be then present And shall give to the said Officer a true Entry of the said Goods so baked burnt or made signed by the Maker or Owner of the said Works containing the several and distinct Kinds Numbers and Quantities of the Goods so made and the real Value of such of them as are to pay by the Value and shall not remove any of the said Goods without Warrant or Permission signed by the said Officer from the Warehouse or other Place where the same shall be first putt after their drawing from the Fire as aforesaid under the several Penalties hereafter mentioned Which Warrants the said Officers are hereby required to give gratis after the Duty to the King thereby granted be first paid or secured as by this Act is further directed.
