  1. Introductory Text

  2. Imposition upon Retailers of Wines, Brandies, Spirits, and Strong Waters.

  3. II.What shall be taken for Strong Water or Brandy imported.

  4. III.Merchants not to sell Wine, &c. to any but Retailers.

  5. IV.The Prices of Wine sold by Retail.

  6. V.Retailers forthwith to give an account to the Commissioners of Stock on Hand, and so from time to time of all Additions thereto.

  7. VI.Commissioners may grant Warrants to search.

  8. VII.Retailer to give Notice of Wines taken in.

  9. VIII.The Commissioners may summon and examine upon Oath.

  10. IX.Commissioners to appoint Collectors, and Monies to be paid into the Exchequer.

  11. X.Proviso for Retailers travelling in obedience to Act.

  12. XI.Repayment of Duty upon Exportation.

  13. XII.Merchant Importer selling contrary to Act; or asking Reward, &c. exceeding the due Price.

  14. XIII.How Penalties to be recovered and divided.

  15. XIV.Commissioners to take an Oath.

  16. XV.And the Officers also;

  17. XVI.Commissioners to be appointed by the King under the Great Seal.

  18. XVII.To prevent the Duties being twice charged. Retailer paying or securing Duties to have Certificate thereof from Commissioners without Fee.

  19. XVIII.Persons taking false Oath, Perjury.

  20. XIX.A Tenth Part allowed for Lees, Leakage, &c. Retailer to make Entries.

  21. XX.Commissioners to deliver Quarterly Accounts upon Oath to Persons herein named, appointed under c. I. ante.

  22. XXI.The additional Duty to be accounted for once a Month upon Oath.

  23. XXII.When the Commissioners shall signify to the King and Parliament, &c. that the full Money is raised, the Act to determine.

  24. XXIII.The Money raised by this Act to be employed in fitting out an extraordinary Fleet.

  25. XXIV.A distinct Registry of Money lent upon the Credit of this Act a to be kept in the Exchequer.

  26. XXV.Register to be provided, &c. without Fee.

  27. XXVI.Allowance to Treasurer of Navy, and Lieutenant or Treasurer of Ordnance.
