Uniformity of Roofs of the first Three Sorts.
And to the end that all Builders may the better know how to provide and fitt their materialls for their severall Buildings Be it enacted That there shall be onely fower sortes of Buildings and noe more, and that all manner of Houses soe to be erected shall be of one of those [X1four] sortes of Buildings and noe other (that is to say) The First and least sort of Houses fronting By lanes, the Second sort of Houses fronting Streets and Lanes of note, the Third sort of Houses fronting high and principall Streetes, the Fourth and largest sort of Mansion houses for Citizens or other persons of extraordinary quality not fronting either of the three former Wayes And the Roofes of each of the said first three sorts of Houses respectively shall be uniforme.
