XVIII.Persons having been Collectors of First Subsidy not to be appointed Collectors of Second Subsidy unless they shew Quietus est.

Penalty £100.

Provided alwayes and be it enacted by the Authority aforesaid That noe person or persons shall be nominated or appointed to be High Collector or Collectors for the two last of the said Fower Subsidyes granted by this Act which before that time hath beene a Collector or Collectors [X1of] the two first of the said Fower Subsidyes or either of them unlesse such person or persons soe to be nominated or appointed High Collector or Collectors for the said two first of the said Fower Subsidyes doe first shew forth before him or them by whom [X2they] shall be nominated and appointed his Quietus est for his discharge of his Collection before appointed to his discharge upon paine of One hundred pounds to be paid and forfeited by him or them that shall soe nominate and appoint any such Collector contrary to this present Act,
