  1. Introductory Text

  2. Recital of Grant of Four entire Subsidies given by the Clergy of Canterbury.

  3. II.but shall pay Subsidy on 9-10ths only.

  4. III.Subsidy not payable for the Year in which First Fruits are paid.

  5. IV.Archbishops, &c. shall be Collectors.

  6. V.Power to Collectors to levy Subsidies; may account for the same as the King and Exchequer shall appoint, as Archbishops, &c. account for the Teuth.

  7. VI.Incumbents, &c. being monished and not paying Subsidies, Proceedings.

  8. The forme of which Schedule above-mentioned ensueth

  9. VII.Provise for Tender of Payment by Incumbent, &c. before Certificate exhibited into the Exchequer.

  10. VIII.Quietus est to Archbishops, &c. being Collectors.

  11. IX.Process not to issue within Twenty Days after Day prefixed for Payment.

  12. X.Spiritual Promotions, &c. not chargeable to any other Subsidy.

  13. XI.Deans, Archdeacons, Prebendaries, &c. of Cathedrals and Colleges, &c. how chargeable.

  14. XII.Proviso for Spiritual Persons paying Pensions.

  15. XIII.Proviso for Lands, &c. formerly granted for Obits, &c. and come into the Hands of King Edw. VI. under I Edw. VI. c. 14.

  16. XIV.Proviso for the Universities,

  17. XV.Proviso for Livings not above £6. 13s. 4d. yearly.

  18. XVI.Proviso for Livings of £8 and not above £10 yearly Value.

  19. XVII.Grant to be ratified by Parliament.

  20. XVIII.Power to Collectors to levy Subsidies by Authority of Censures of the Church, and by Sequestration, Distress, &c.

  21. XIX.Subsidies may be levied by Distress on Farmers of Impropriations.

  22. XX.How Lay Impropriators shall be charged for their Spiritual and Temporal Possessions.

  23. XXI.This Act extended to the Subsidy of the Province of York.

  24. XXII.Provisions in the Grants of the Clergy declared valid.
