Road Repair (Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Huntingdonshire) Act 1663

1. Introductory Text

2. Recital of the bad State of the Roads in the Counties of Hertford, Cambridge, and Huntington;

3. II. Surveyors to require Persons chargeable to come with Wains, Carts, &c.

4. III. Distance at which Persons may be compelled to come with their Wains, Carts, &c. or to labour.

5. IV. Where not sufficient Gravel, &c. in any Parish, Surveyors may carry away Gravel, &c. out of neighbouring Parishes, &c. without paying for the same.

6. V. Surveyors, with the Approbation of Justices, to appoint Toll Gatherers.

7. VI. Surveyors to account to Quarter Sessions.

8. VII. Recital that Monies so to be collected will not raise a sufficient Stock.

18. XVII. Power to Justices for Huntingdon to name any Place other than Stilton for receiving the Toll.

19. XVIII. Proviso for Soldiers and Persons riding Post.

20. XIX. If before the Ex-piration of II Years Roads sufficiently amended, Tolls to cease in that County.
