XIV.Rates may be farmed for Three Years.
And it is further Ordained and Enacted by the Authoritie aforesaid That the Lord Treasurer or Commissioners of the Treasury for the time being or such other person or persons as his Majestie shall appoint shall have power, and are hereby authorized and impowered from time to time to treat contract conclude and agree with any person or persons for or concerning the farming of all or any the Rates Dutyes and Charges in this Act mentioned upon Beere Ale Perry Sider or other the Liquors [X1aforesaid] in any the respective Countyes Cittyes or Places of this Realme or Dominions thereof as may be for the greatest benefit and advantage of the said receipt soe as the same exceed not the terme of three yeares
