Officer making Default.; Punishment.
And Be it further enacted That all and every the sums soe to be collected and raised by and according to the tenor of this Act shall be paid and issued out by the Treasurers in this Act named or any two or more of them respectively to such use and uses as by one or more Orders of the Commons House in this present Parliament shall be appointed and not otherwise And that all and every the said person and persons whoe are to be charged or chargeable with the Receipt of any the said sums in this Act mentioned which shall wilfully neglect or make default in the collecting levying or paying of the severall sums by them or any of them respectively to be received or paid or in execution of theire severall duties according to the tenor and true meaning of this Act shall be accountable for the same to the Parliament and shall be lyable to such punishment as shall be thought fit by the King and Parliament to be inflicted.
