Coming into force
The Welsh Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by section 38(5)(a) of the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 20161.
Title, commencement and application1

The title of these Regulations is the Regulated Services (Omissions from the Published Register) (Wales) Regulations 2018.

These Regulations come into force on 4 July 2018.

Interpretation2

In these Regulations—
“the Act” (“y Ddeddf”) means the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016;
“care home service” (“gwasanaeth cartref gofal”) has the meaning given by paragraph 1 of Schedule 1 to the Act;
“secure accommodation service” (“gwasanaeth llety diogel”) has the meaning given by paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 to the Act;
“service provider” (“darparwr gwasanaeth”) has the meaning given by section 3(1)(c) of the Act;
“child” (“plentyn”) means a person who is aged under 18.
Omission of information from the published register of service providers3
For the purposes of section 38(5)(a) of the Act the Welsh Ministers may omit from the published register of service providers the information required under section 38(2)(b) of the Act in respect of any entry in the register that relates to a place at which—
a
a care home service is provided wholly or mainly to children;
b
a secure accommodation service is provided.
