169.  In paragraph 6A of Schedule 8(1) (power to adjourn hearing and remand offender), in sub-paragraph (7) in the definition of “social services functions”—

(a) after “as it has” insert

“—

(a)

in relation to a local authority in England,”;

(b) at the end insert—

“(b) in relation to a local authority in Wales, in section 143 of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014”.
