The Welsh Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 10(1)(b) and (3) of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 20091, make the following Order:

Title, commencement and application1

The title of this Order is the Apprenticeships (Designation of Welsh Certifying Authority) (Amendment) Order 2015 and it comes into force on 16 October 2015.

This Order applies in relation to Wales.

Amendment of the Apprenticeships (Designation of Welsh Certifying Authority) Order 20132

The Apprenticeships (Designation of Welsh Certifying Authority) Order 20132 is amended as follows.

In article 2 for the words “the Alliance of Sector Skills Councils” substitute “the Federation for Industry Sector Skills & Standards (Company Number: SC175918)”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order amends the Apprenticeships (Designation of Welsh Certifying Authority) Order 2013 by changing the name of the Welsh certifying authority from the Alliance of Sector Skills Councils to the Federation for Industry Sector Skills and Standards. This recognises a change in the registered company name of this organisation.
