Asesiad addysg cyfrwng Cymraeg
3.—(1) Rhaid i awdurdod lleol gynnal asesiad addysg cyfrwng Cymraeg ar gyfer ei ardal gyfan neu unrhyw ran o’i ardal y caiff Gweinidogion Cymru benderfynu arni.
(2) Rhaid i awdurdod lleol gynnal asesiad addysg cyfrwng Cymraeg os—
(a)oes mwy na 50% o ddisgyblion mewn ysgolion a gynhelir yn y rhan honno o’i ardal sy’n destun yr asesiad addysg cyfrwng Cymraeg, yn cael eu hasesu yn—
(i)maes dysgu datblygu’r Gymraeg ar y trydydd dydd Mawrth ym mis Ionawr yn y flwyddyn asesu; neu
(ii)maes dysgu sgiliau iaith, llythrennedd a chyfathrebu drwy gyfrwng y Saesneg ar y trydydd dydd Mawrth ym mis Ionawr yn y flwyddyn asesu;
(b)nad yw’r awdurdod lleol wedi cynnal asesiad addysg cyfrwng Cymraeg ar gyfer ei ardal gyfan yn y 3 blynedd yn union cyn y flwyddyn asesu; ac
(c)yw Gweinidogion Cymru yn hysbysu’r awdurdod lleol yn ysgrifenedig fod rhaid iddo wneud hynny.
(3) Rhaid i asesiad addysg cyfrwng Cymraeg gynnwys y cwestiynau a nodir yn Rhan 1 o Atodlen 1 a’r wybodaeth a nodir yn Rhan 2 o Atodlen 1.
