The Welsh Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 124 and 203(9) and (10) of the National Health Service (Wales) Act 2006(1).

Title, application, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) The title of these Regulations is the National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) (Miscellaneous Amendments) (Wales) Regulations 2010 and they come into force on 1 April 2010.

(2) These Regulations come into force immediately after the coming into force of the National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2010(2).

(3) These Regulations apply in relation to Wales.

(4) In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations” (“y prif Reoliadau”) means the National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) Regulations 1989(3).

Amendment to the principal Regulations

2.  In Schedule 2 to the principal Regulations insert in the appropriate alphabetical position the words—

Revocation

3.  The National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2010(4) are revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) Regulations 1989 (S.I.1989/306) (“the 1989 Regulations”). The Regulations insert the Isle of Man into the list of countries or territories in respect of which the United Kingdom Government has entered into a reciprocal agreement in Schedule 2 to the 1989 Regulations.

These Regulations revoke the National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2010 (S.I. 2010/730 (W.71)).
