The Milford Port Health Authority (Amendment) Order 2010

The Welsh Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 2, 3 and 4 of the Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984(1), having given the notices required by sections 2 and 4 of that Act and not having received any notice of objection thereto, make the following Order.

Title and commencement

1.  The title of this Order is the Milford Port Health Authority (Amendment) Order 2010 and it comes into force on 26 July 2010.

Amendments to the 1991 Order

2.  The Milford Port Health Authority Order 1991(2) is amended as follows:

(a)in the Schedule, under the heading “The Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984 (c. 22) ”, for the words—

Part IAdministrative and financial provisions
Part II (except sections 11 and 12, 21 to 23 and 39 to 42)Control of disease
Section 47Regulations about dead bodies
Section 48Removal of body to mortuary or for immediate burial
Section 54Instruction about health and disease
Section 56Tents vans sheds and similar structures

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order makes amendments to enactments set out in the Schedule to the Milford Port Health Authority Order 1991.

1984 c. 22. Functions of the Secretary of State, so far as exerciseable in relation to Wales, transferred to the National Assembly for Wales by S.I. 1999/672 and thereafter onto the Welsh Ministers by paragraph 30 of Schedule 11 to the Government of Wales Act 2006 (2006 c. 32). Section 3 of the Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984 was amended by the Food Safety Act 1990 (c. 16), section 59(1) and Schedule 3, paragraph 26.
