Mae'r Rheoliadau hyn yn diwygio ymhellach Reoliadau Addysg (Cymorth Lleoedd) 1997 (“Rheoliadau 1997”) .

Mae'r Rheoliadau yn gymwys ynghylch cwestiynau lleddfu sy'n codi mewn cysylltiad â blwyddyn ysgol 2007/08 ac sydd heb eu penderfynu ar y dyddiad y daw'r Rheoliadau hyn i rym. Mae cwestiwn lleddfu yn gwestiwn sy'n ymwneud â hawl rhiant o dan Reoliadau 1997 i gael lleddfiad ar y ffioedd sy'n daladwy mewn cysylltiad ag addysg plentyn mewn ysgol annibynnol.

Mae'r gostyngiadau sydd i'w gwneud mewn incwm perthnasol rhieni mewn cysylltiad â pherthnasau dibynnol yn unol â rheoliad 10(4) a (6) o Reoliadau 1997 wedi'u cynyddu o £1,625 i £1,675.

Mae'r Rheoliadau hyn hefyd yn diwygio'r prawf moddion ar gyfer lleddfu ar ffioedd: £12,864 yn lle £12,470 yw lefel yr incwm sydd wedi'i phennu i ffioedd gael eu lleddfu'n gyfan gwbl neu'n rhannol arni neu islaw iddi, gyda chodiadau cyfatebol o ran graddau'r lleddfu pan fo'r incwm perthnasol yn uwch na'r swm hwnnw.
