The Bluetongue (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2008

Coming into force

The Welsh Ministers are designated1 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19722 in relation to the common agricultural policy of the European Community.

The Welsh Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972.

Title, application and commencement1

The title of these Regulations is the Bluetongue (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2008; they apply in relation to Wales come into force on 19 June 2008.

Amendment2

In regulation 17 of the Bluetongue (Wales) Regulations 20083 the second reference to “Secretary of State” is deleted and replaced with “Welsh Ministers”.

These Regulations amend the Bluetongue (Wales) Regulations 2008 (“the principal Regulations”) by replacing the second reference in regulation 17 of the principal Regulations to “the Secretary of State” with “the Welsh Ministers”.
