1.  Mae'r Rheoliadau hyn sy'n gymwys o ran Cymru'n diwygio ymhellach Reoliadau Cig Dofednod, Cig Adar Hela wedi'i Ffermio a Chig Cwningod (Hylendid ac Archwilio) 1995 (O.S. 1995/540, fel y'i diwygiwyd eisoes, ac sy'n rhychwantu Prydain Fawr i gyd) ac yn rhoi ar waith y rhan honno o Erthygl 5(1)(b) o Gyfarwyddeb y Cyngor 71/118/EEC sy'n ymwneud â phroblemau iechyd sy'n effeithio ar gynhyrchu cig dofednod ffres a'i roi ar y farchnad (atodwyd testun y Gyfarwyddeb uchod, ar ôl ei gyfuno, i Gyfarwyddeb y Cyngor 92/116/EEC (OJ Rhif L62, 15.3.93, t.1).) ac sy'n gwahardd rhoi cig dofednod ar y farchnad i'w fwyta gan bobl os cafodd ei drin â chyfryngau dal dŵr neu os y'i cafwyd o dan amodau technolegol debyg a'i fod, o ganlyniad, yn debygol o fod yn achos yr un risg.

2.  Rhoddir y gwaharddiad uchod ar waith drwy ddiwygio'n briodol reoliad 14(2) o O.S. 1995/540 (rheoliad 2(2)).

3.  Mae'r Rheoliadau hyn hefyd yn gwneud newidiadau canlyniadol i reoliad 14(9) o O.S. 1995/540 (rheoliad 2(3)) ac i Atodlen 2 i Reoliadau Cynhyrchion sy'n Dod o Anifeiliaid (Mewnforio ac Allforio) 1996 (O.S. 1996/3124, fel y'i diwygiwyd eisoes) (rheoliad 3).

4.  Mae arfarniad rheoliadol wedi'i baratoi ar gyfer y Rheoliadau hyn ac wedi'i roi yn llyfrgell Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru, ynghyd â nodyn trosi sy'n nodi sut y trosir yn y Rheoliadau hyn, y gwaharddiad y cyfeirir ato ym mharagraff 1. Gellir cael copïau gan yr Asiantaeth Safonau Bwyd, Llawr 11, Southgate House, Caerdydd, CF10 1EW.
