SCHEDULE 1 MINOR AND CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS

The National Health Service (Functions of Health Authorities) (Complaints) Regulations 1996

15.  In the National Health Service (Functions of Health Authorities) (Complaints) Regulations 1996(1), in regulation 1 (citation, commencement and interpretation), in paragraph (2), for the definition of “family health service practitioner” substitute—

““family health service practitioner” means a person who—

(a)

provides or performs primary medical services under Part 1 of the Act;

(b)

provides any of the services to be provided under Part 2 of the Act, that is to say, general dental services, general ophthalmic services or pharmaceutical services; or

(c)

before 1st April 2004, provided general medical services under Part 2 of the Act.”.
