In addition other provisions are brought into force at an earlier date, 1st April 2003, to allow applications for registration as a social worker to be made to the Care Council as from that date.
The Order also brings into force on 30th April 2003 certain alterations to the Adoption (Intercountry Aspects) Act 1999 as a consequence of the implementation on that date of the provisions of Part II of the Act in relation to voluntary adoption agencies.
