1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Bro Morgannwg National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 2000 and shall come into force on 7th April 2000.
(2) This Order applies to Wales only.
2. For article 3 of the Bro Morgannwg National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1998(1) there shall be substituted the following article:–
3.—(1) The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act.
(2) Subject to paragraph (3), the trust’s functions shall be to provide goods and services (including hospital accommodation and community health services) for the purposes of the health service at or from the following hospitals, establishments and facilities –
(a)Princess of Wales Hospital, Coity Road, Bridgend CF31 1RQ,
(b)Neath General Hospital, Neath SA11 2LQ,
(c)A hospital at Baglan Way, Port Talbot
and at or from any associated hospitals, establishments or facilities.
(3) The trust’s functions under paragraph (2)(b) shall cease to be exercisable upon the completion of the transfer of all services from Neath General Hospital to the hospital mentioned in paragraph (2)(c) and the closure of Neath General Hospital.”.
