The Neath to Abergavenny Trunk Road (A465) (Abergavenny to Hirwaun Dualling and Slip Roads) and East of Abercynon to East of Dowlais Road (A4060), Cardiff to Glan Conwy Trunk Road (A470) (Connecting Roads) Order 1999

6.  In this Order:

(1) All measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway;

(2) (i) “the deposited plan” means the plan numbered HA10/2 — WO131 marked “The Neath to Abergavenny Trunk Road (A465) (Abergavenny to Hirwaun Dualling and Slip Roads) and East of Abercynon to East of Dowlais Trunk Road (A4060), Cardiff to Glan Conwy Trunk Road (A470) (Connecting Roads) Order 1999” signed by authority of the National Assembly and deposited at the National Assembly for Wales Repository, Curran Embankment, Cardiff;

(ii)“the main new trunk road” and “the slip roads” have the meanings given in article 1 of this Order all forming part of the Neath to Abergavenny Trunk Road (A465);

(iii)“the new connecting trunk roads” means the connecting trunk roads mentioned in article 1 of this Order and “a new connecting trunk road” means one of those highways: The East of Abercynon to East of Dowlais Trunk Road (A4060); The Neath to Abergavenny Trunk Road (A465); and The Cardiff to Glan Conwy Trunk Road (A470);

(iv)“the trunk roads” means the new highways mentioned in article 1 of this Order;

(v)“classified road” as a classification for a highway, means that the highway is not a principal road for the purpose of enactments and instruments which refer to highway classified as principal roads and is also classified for the purpose of every other enactment and instrument which refers to highways classified by the National Assembly and which does not specifically refer to their classification as principal roads;

(vi)“the trunk road” means the Neath to Abergavenny Trunk Road (A465).
