The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(3) and (7) of the Pests Act 19541 and now vested in the Secretary of State2.

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Spring Traps Approval (Variation) (England) (No. 2) Order 2021 and comes into force on 14th April 2021.

Variation of the Spring Traps Approval (England) Order 20182

The Schedule to the Spring Traps Approval (England) Order 20183 is varied as follows—

a

in the entry for the DOC 250, in column 2 (conditions), omit “ferrets,”;

b

in the entry for the Perdix Spring Trap, in column 1 (type and make of trap), for “PERDIX Wildlife Supplies” substitute “PERDIX Wildlife Solutions Ltd”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order varies the Spring Traps Approval (England) Order 2018 (S.I. 2018/1190). It removes ferrets as a permitted target species of the DOC 250 trap and corrects a reference to the name of the manufacturer of the Perdix Spring Trap.
