Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 59, 60, 61, 74(1), 108(2A), (3C), (5) and (6), 220 and 333(1) and (7) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990(1), makes the following Regulations.

1990 c. 8. Amendments have been made to section 59 which are not relevant to these Regulations. Section 60 was amended by section 4(1) of the Growth and Infrastructure Act 2013 (c. 27) and section 152 of the Housing and Planning Act 2016 (c. 22). Sections 108(2A), (5) and (6) were inserted by the Planning Act 2008 (c. 29). Section 108(3C) was inserted by the Planning Act 2008 (c. 29) and amendments have been made by the Housing and Planning Act 2016 (c.22). Amendments have been made to sections 74, 220 and 333 which are not relevant to these Regulations.
