The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 175(1) to (3) and 182(2) of the Pension Schemes Act 1993(1).

The Secretary of State considers that consultation in respect of these Regulations is inexpedient because of urgency(2).

1993 c. 48 (“the 1993 Act”). Section 175 was substituted by section 165 of the Pensions Act 1995 (c. 26). Subsection (1) was amended by section 12(1) of the Financial Guidance and Claims Act 2018 (c. 10) and by S.I. 2010/22 and 2019/383. Subsections (1) and (3) were amended by paragraph 26 of Schedule 1 and Part 1 of Schedule 13 to the Pensions Act 2004 (c. 35). See section 181(1) for the definitions of “prescribed” and “regulations”.
