6.—(1) Article 2 is amended as follows.
[F1(2) In paragraph 9—
(a)for “Union”, in the first place it occurs, substitute “ Great Britain ”;
(b)for “the Union customs territory”, substitute “ Great Britain ”.]
(3) In paragraph 9a, for “Union”, substitute “ [F2Great Britain] ”.
[F3(4) In paragraph 10, after “natural or legal person”, insert “ , established in Great Britain or Northern Ireland, ”.]
(5) After paragraph 12, insert—
“13. ‘Competent authority’ means the Secretary of State.
14. ‘Regulation (EU) 528/2012’ means Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the making available on the market and use of biocidal products.
15. ‘the REACH Regulation’ means Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), establishing a European Chemicals Agency.
[F416. ‘qualifying Northern Ireland goods’ has the meaning given to it from time to time in regulations made under section 8C(6) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018.”].
