Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of, and paragraph 1 of Schedule 4 and paragraph 21 of Schedule 7 to, the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018(1).
In accordance with paragraphs 1(1) and 12(1) of Schedule 7 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, a draft of these Regulations has been laid before Parliament and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament.
In accordance with paragraph 3 of Schedule 4 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 these Regulations are made with the consent of the Treasury.
2018 c. 16; the Secretary of State, as a Minister of the Crown, is an “appropriate authority” for the purposes of paragraph 1 of Schedule 4, by virtue of paragraph 2(1) of that Schedule.
