The functions of the Minister were transferred, so far as they are exercisable in relation to Wales, to the Secretary of State for Wales acting jointly with the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food by article 2 of, and Schedule 1 to, S.I. 1978/272. The functions transferred by that instrument to the Secretary of State were transferred to the National Assembly for Wales by the 1999 Order and are now exercisable by the Welsh Ministers by virtue of paragraph 30 of Schedule 11 to the Government of Wales Act 2006 (c. 32).
