The Secretary of State is a Minister designated1 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19722 in relation to measures relating to air transport.C1

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 75(1) to (3) and 102(2) of, and Part II and paragraphs 4 and 6 of Part III of Schedule 13 to, the Civil Aviation Act 19823 and by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972.C1
