Amendment of Schedule 1 (advocates’ graduated fee scheme)

17.  In paragraph 13(1) (fees for abuse of process, etc.)—

(a) in paragraph (d), omit the “and” at the end;

(b) after paragraph (d), insert—

“(da) a ground rules hearing ordered in a case in which a special measures direction provides for a recording to be admitted under section 28 (video recorded cross-examination or re-examination) of the Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act 1999(1), and for this purpose “special measures direction” has the meaning given in section 33(1) (interpretation etc. of Chapter I) of that Act; and”.
