The National Health Service (Performers Lists) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2016

The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 106 and 272(7) and (8) of the National Health Service Act 2006(1), makes the following Regulations.

Citation, commencement and application

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Performers Lists) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 and come into force on 1st September 2016.

(2) These Regulations apply to England only.

Amendment of the National Health Service (Performers Lists) (England) Regulations 2013

2.  For sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph (2) of regulation 30 of the National Health Service (Performers Lists) (England) Regulations 2013(2), substitute—

(a)a period of full-time employment of at least one year but not exceeding two years;.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the National Health Service (Performers Lists) (England) Regulations 2013 (S.I. 2013/335) (“the 2013 Regulations”).

Regulation 2 amends regulation 30 of the 2013 Regulations to provide that a period of full-time foundation training shall be a period of at least one year but cannot exceed a period of two years.

2006 c.41. Section 106 was amended by section 55 of, and paragraph 47 of Schedule 4 to, the Health and Social Care Act 2012 (c.7).

S.I. 2013/335. Regulation 30 deals with the meaning of “foundation training” to be completed through appropriate employment and paragraph (2) deals with the meaning of “period of employment” for that purpose.
