This Order designates part of the area of each of The Council of the City of Wakefield, The Borough Council of Gateshead and The Dorset County Council as a civil enforcement area for parking contraventions and as a special enforcement area for the purposes of Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 (c. 18).
This Order also revokes the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead) Order 2007 (S.I. 2007/1583) made under the predecessor designation scheme contained in the Road Traffic Act 1991. The roads that were excluded by the 2007 Order are now included within the designated area except for the A1(T), A194(M) and the A1(M) which is a new exclusion.
This Order also revokes the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (County of Dorset) (District of East Dorset) Order 2002 (S.I. 2002/1485) and the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (County of Dorset) (District of West Dorset) Order 2002 (S.I. 2002/1486) all made under the predecessor designation scheme contained in the Road Traffic Act 1991 (c. 40).
